At the age of 19, I bought a cheap flat in the slums - a top floor flat that no one wanted; the First Project, where I caught the 'bug'. The flat was completely gutted, extended into the attic level thus created a modern lofty space. I sold the flat in 2008 in order to finance the purchase of three flats in London.
